A New Way

At AquaChum we set out to develop a better way to chum. A one step process not requiring any of the hassles of ordinary chum. We wanted a product that was not going to melt in your boat or cooler in the summer heat, and wasn’t going to need to be mixed by hand out on the water, or dispersed using some cumbersome dispenser.
No, we wanted a true “throw and fish” product. This is what we have today a product that not only is as effective as standard frozen chum, but comes with zero of the downsides and no frozen water weight.
Aquachum has been designed to be heavier than water and therefore sink at a consistent pace (approx. 1 ft/s). It can be used as a “chum dropping” or “chum ball” technique as well as traditionally in a chum bag behind the boat or off the pier. As well as an easy to use trap bait for common saltwater baitfish.
Aquachum contains materials that are both positively, and negatively buoyant. Meaning that when used on the surface of the water (in a chum bag) the chum will not only disperse on the surface and in the upper water column but will also fall down throughout the water column as well.
This goes both ways, as there are positively buoyant materials within as well so when you drop the chum down it will absorb water as it falls and begin degrading allowing chum to float back up the water column to you and your baits.
The original size as shown in the photo is a 4” diameter two stage puck weighing approximately 0.5lb with a moisture content of less than 15%. Also offered but not shown is a traditional “block” style which will be 7x7x2”.
